According to the International Stainless Steel Forum; 80% – 90% of stainless steel eventually ends up being recycled. And in the Stainless Steel Fasteners and Fittings manufactured today approximately 60% of the stainless steel is made up of recycled content. Fortunately Stainless Steel can be recycled without any deterioration of quality. This means products made from 100% recycled stainless steel are perfectly viable and can be of the highest quality. Alloying Elements are added as required in the recycling process.
So in summary; stainless steel is 100% recyclable, much of the Stainless we use today is from recycled materials and Stainless is often used in other ways due to its excellent environmental aspects.
